Young Learners Teachers Training Program

The YL course is designed to train teachers to work with young kids. The course is aimed at training teachers for pre-primary level (2-5yrs) as well as for primary level (6-12years) learners. It also includes teaching practice and observation of trainee teachers by experienced teachers in the classroom situation. The pre-primary and the primary level teaching practice are to be conducted separately at different schools.

This course enables teachers to develop their skills and knowledge and transfer them to the young learner teaching environment. Successful candidates are issued with a certificate, which enables to get an ESL job or general teaching jobs around the globe.

This course is also suitably designed for those with little or no experience of teaching the young learners and provides trainees with the basic skills and knowledge needed to teach young learners. It gives an introduction to the theory and practice of contemporary teaching, an insight into the challenges facing the learner, and an overview of the role of the teacher. It prepares teachers to identify teaching methods, materials and methods of assessment appropriate to young learners. The course includes supervised teaching practice which would help to gain confidence and give hands on experience to those who are embarking on a course to teach the pre and primary students.
