What is a distance learning program?

Distance learning Diploma program in Pre & Primary Teacher's training is for those who can not afford to attend or cannot commit to regular classes, a self-learning procedure where course materials are sent to you via post. You can learn in your own and time and pace. The Course fee is much lesser than that of onsite regular courses. The benefits of the correspondence courses are reaped by more and more people these days.

Who are eligible?

Anyone with a +2 level qualification / who have a graduation degree are welcome to enroll for this Diploma program. If you are out of school or in college, then this program can offer you a good career option. Existing teachers can also upgrade their teaching skills by doing this program.

When will I get the study materials?

The study materials will be sent to you by post once you make the payment for the course. Generally it takes around 4-5 working days to send the course materials to you once you sign up.

Is teaching practice mandatory?

No, teaching practice is not mandatory part of the course; however, if you can do it, it would be a value addition. It is recommended that you arrange for your teaching practices at nearby pre & primary schools. ATI can assist you in providing a Recommendation Letter to the school authority to serve your purpose.

Will there be any classes?

Generally distance education does not involve any classes. But arrangements for contact programs at Study Center will be made available shortly.

Is there any exam?

No, there is no exam. The assignments sent by the candidates will be evaluated and feedback will be given on them so as to enable the trainees know their errors and work on improving their work.

When will I get the certificate?

The trainer evaluates all the assignments that you send one by one, phase-wise and once you complete all the phases, the trainer assigns a project work to be completed within 2 months. Once you finish doing the research work and submit the final thesis, a final evaluation is carried out by the trainer. On the basis of this assessment, the trainee is awarded the Diploma.

Is it a certificate or Diploma program?

It is a Diploma program of 6-8 months. The initial 6 months would be the training program where the candidates have to study the course materials and submit assignments on a daily basis. Evaluation will be done from time to time. Within 6 months they have to complete the training program. Then the trainees will be given two months deadline to complete their research and submit it to us, following which they will be given the Diploma certificate.

How important it is to have a teaching qualification to get a job in pre and primary Schools in India?

A teaching qualification is a must to find employment in pre & primary schools in India. A Montessori or pre & primary teacher's training certificate /diploma is a legal license for the fresher /would-be teachers to apply for teaching posts in pre and primary schools. The employers are in need of qualified and well trained teachers in order to educate the children. Hence it is very important to bear a diploma or certificate in teacher's training in order to get jobs easily in the competitive market.

Does the course have videos for me to watch?

The Distance learning has the option of academic support by means of videos. CDs are generally sent you via post when you get started with the course. The videos have real-life presentations by the teachers of in-class teaching. The trainees can relate to these videos for learning each phase. The trainees get an exposure and taste of the real life teaching experience through these videos.

How about the assignments?

Assignments will be given on a daily basis to the trainee on completion of each phase. The trainer will evaluate the assignments and give feedback on it and send it back to the trainee. After completing all 8 phases, then trainee will be given project work which would require further research and analysis. His project work has to be completed within 2 months and submitted to the trainer. The Diploma will be conferred on the basis of overall performance of the trainee.

Do I need 6 months to complete this program?

You can complete the course at your own pace, taking your own time which may take a minimum of 2 months to a maximum of 6 months. Maximum time limit will be 6 months to finish the course and submit the assignments. The more time you devote and dedicate each day, the faster you can complete the course. Additional 2 months will be given for the research work and writing the thesis on the subject matter assigned by the trainer. After you submit the same, you successfully complete the program.
