About the Course

The concept of Distance Education started as an attempt to provide scope for continuous adult education. American TESOL Institute is identified with quality & reliability. But in our endeavor to provide quality education we at ATI have realized that there is a sizeable chunk of people who want to pursue a professional qualification but are unable to do so because they do not have access to such institutes or organizations. Neither do they have the infrastructure to support and enroll in online courses. Keeping this need in mind ATI has launched the first Pre and Primary Teachers' Training Program in the Distance Education mode.


The uniqueness of the course lies in the component of "Specialization in teaching English". Language forms the basis of expression, clarity of thought and communication. This course gives the teachers a unique insight into what entails language learning which no other young learners course offers.
This specialized qualification will give the trainees an international license, so to speak, to teach both the preschool and the primary school anywhere in the world. There is a global demand for teachers who are trained in teaching young learners. Just a high qualification is not enough to teach this category of students effectively. One has to know the educational principles and psychology to handle young learners appropriately. Foundation for success in later years depends directly on primary school education and this fact is research based. Therefore the importance and responsibilities of a pre and primary teacher cannot be undermined. The orientation of these teachers is definitely special. Therefore we at ATI have developed a course that will train teachers for this purpose.
Participants will have the freedom to study the materials provided in the form of modules themselves. This will be complimented and supplemented by adequate assistance from our highly qualified trainers through either contact sessions or via correspondence. The trainee will be required to complete each module and submit the assignments to the centre. This will be evaluated on a continuum basis and progress monitored.
At the end of the certificate program, the teachers will also be given a chance to get a Diploma certificate with two months of extra effort.
